How does it sound living in a property that is built around nature, or in this case, a real oak tree? Yes, at the Frantoio Apartment that overlooks that 15th-century Il Paluffo ecological estate, guests will be excited and astounded to find the trunk of an actual oak tree standing in the living room and growing out while extending its branches into the limitless skies. The selling point at Frantoio Apartment is undeniably this, though there are definitely other unique and interesting facets that guests will come to love here. This ample cottage itself is located at the top of the villa’s historic oil mill (called frantoio) - hence its name - and consists of 3 double bedrooms and a mezzanine area with twin bedding, accommodating an occupancy of up to 7 guests. The interior spaces feature stone-hemmed walls and lots of wood-based furnishings to create a homey atmosphere, while the private garden outdoors looks out to the swimming pool and main villa of the estate. Guests will be pleased to know the extra security layer comes in the form of a private gated entrance for this apartment.
The 2 bedrooms at Forno Apartment are made up of the Master Bedroom that comes fitted with a king-sized bed, and the 2nd bedroom that also features a daybed which guests easily convert into 2 twin beds that make them perfect for children. Both bedrooms have their own private bathrooms to boot.
Guests have use of a private garden that is furnished with relaxing patio furniture, including a dining table with umbrella and chairs. But what is most interesting and unique is the Forno or bread-oven maker that is still functional today to bake wood-fired pizza, which guests can happily find joy in using.
The interiors of the property are spacious with stone-hemmed walls prominently featured throughout, lending the feeling of living inside a beautiful Tuscan castle. Besides the living room with the dining space, it features a working fireplace with firewood and has also a fully-equipped kitchen with amenities like induction stove, oven, dishwasher and American-style coffee maker, among others.
Besides free WiFi connectivity which is provided to guests, they also have the privilege of an iPad that comes with listings of restaurants and other tour recommendations. The service team will provide cleaning at the end of stay with no extra charge, and laundry services are also available upon request.
Frantoio Apartment is located along the main pathway of the Il Paluffo estate, which is set within the rolling hills of Chianti in the Tuscan countryside. It is also near the charming town of Certaldo, which suggests for guests to check out Tuscany and be immersed in the Chianti countryside. Guests can also take an easy drive out to towns including San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra, Pisa and Lucca.
