Colonial Mansion is a decadent tropical villa located on the hillside of Hikkaduwa. Boasting three spacious bedrooms, each one has an outdoor ensuite attached to them. The villa features lush vegetation that surrounds its private terrace. Included in the terrace is the private 86-square metre pool that faces the gorgeous green view. You and the family can splash into the pool during the day and watch the beautiful sunset in the early evening.
The colonial-contemporary styled villa is part of the lavish Haritha Villa and Spa complex. The holiday house sits on top of the estate’s restaurant and spa area. So if you want something to eat or a relaxing spa session, you can just head downstairs.
Colonial Mansion is three minutes away from Narigama Beach by tuk-tuk. You will receive one complimentary tuk-tuk ride to said beach as part of the villa package. You can visit many of the restaurants and other establishments in the area. Alternatively, you can drive over to Galle, where there are many historical Portuguese colonial buildings, such as the Galle Fort, or participate in the marine conservation program at the sea turtle hatchery, or go for the simple whale watching.
The villa features three spacious, garden-facing bedrooms, furnished with large king beds. Mosquito nets are draped on the beds’ canopies, for more sleep comfort. Each room is also furnished with wardrobe spaces, a work desk, a small coffee table and chairs, and a large mirror, all antiques. Each bedroom includes an outdoor ensuite, with a large bathtub. The big windows that line the walls of the bedroom maximise the amount of natural sunlight coming in.
It is green (and blue) as far as the eye can see, as lush tropical vegetation line the perimeter of Colonial Mansion’s outdoor area. The villa comes with access to an 86-square metre swimming pool, a welcomed addition to complement the green space surrounding the villa. A decent-sized lawn space means the kids can run around, or jump into the pool. There are sun loungers set by the wooden deck, so you can supervise your kids in the pool while you’re catching some sun. The tall palm trees provide shade to the outdoor area.
The Colonial House indoor area only includes the cosy living room. With the large windows open and the nice breeze blows in, you can easily fall asleep during the warmer days. The comfy couches, stereo system and mood lighting of the living room, you can have great movie sessions with the family.
A dedicated service staff of housekeepers, a gardener, a concierge, a pool maintenance person and security personnel is available to help you achieve your ideal stay in this fine tropical establishment. Wifi runs throughout the property. Upon your arrival at Colonial Mansion, you will receive welcome drinks. Free breakfasts will be provided every morning of your stay. You just have to go downstairs to the restaurant to get them. You can request for spa services at an additional cost.
