Hidden away in the inspirational highlands of Sri Lanka near the famous town of Kandy, you can stay somewhere truly special at Mountbatten Bungalow. This private pool villa transports you back to the colonial times, sitting on 6 acres of sprawling tropical land with views to blow your mind. This grand holiday estate boasts 4 bedroom bungalows, 2 suites and 6 garden chalets - ideal for large traveling groups. This place bursts with old-age charm and the infinity pool is absolutely stunning!
Mountbatten Bungalow can accommodate very large groups. You can bring all of your friends or the entire family - everyone will get the privacy and luxury they need. The estate houses 4 bungalows, 2 suites and 6 chalets. In total, there are 12 private bedrooms and the estate can accommodate up to 30 guests. All the rooms are equipped with AC and each room has a comfortable double bed, a TV with cable channels and a private en-suite bathroom. The bungalows and suites feature elegant dark timber colonial furniture from the Victorian Era. The chalets are completely crafted out of wood and they are very spacious, fitted with large soaking bathtubs.
The garden is expansive, spreading out across 6 acres of land. There are manicured green grass lawns, ancient trees, and beautiful tea gardens. Go stroll around and you will find the marvelous infinity pool with stunning mountain and forest views. Sunbeds are placed by the poolside for those wanting to work on their tan or snooze a little to the sound of nature.
Mountbatten Bungalow boasts a chic Victorian-style dining hall with multiple circular dining tables. Next to it, you will find the opulent colonial-inspired lounge with a fireplace, sitting areas and antiques. The interior design is ruled by decadent furniture and art from the Victorian Era, exuding old-world-charm. Natural light shines all day long and you can enjoy the garden views from everywhere.
A team of 12 attentive staff members is at your service during your stay at Mountbatten Bungalow. The estate will be kept spotless and you get to enjoy personal assistance and housekeeping services. Massage therapists, drivers, nannies or private chef cooks are all available upon request (additional charges apply).
Mountbatten Bungalow is completely surrounded by nature and the views of mountains, forests, and tea plantations are truly breathtaking! A short 15-minute drive will take you to the famous town of Kandy where you can stroll around the lake, watch a traditional performance and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. You can also visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - an ethical elephant sanctuary, and you can go see the Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya.
