Ubuntu Beach Villas is a complex of two beachside villas in Mirissa, separated by about 400 metres. This means that the two villas can be rented separately or together without having too much of a hassle.
With each villa housing eight contemporary-styled bedrooms (plus ensuites), the whole complex has 16 bedrooms in total and is able to sleep up to 32 people. Each villa boasts expansive dining and living areas, as well as a swimming pool and well-maintained lawns and garden. Both villas also have access to private stretches of beach, where you and the family can sunbathe, or run around on.
Ubuntu Beach Villas are within a few minutes drive to Mirissa proper, where there are plenty of attractions to visit, namely Coconut Tree Hill and Parrot Rock. Restaurants and shops are also plentiful around both guest houses.
Across both houses, Ubuntu Beach Villas offer 16 bedrooms and ensuites. Each villa houses eight bedrooms each. Half of the bedrooms face the stunning ocean, while the others have beautiful garden views. The sea-facing bedrooms are located upstairs, with two of them having bathtubs in their ensuites. All the garden-facing ones are on ground level, by the courtyard. Every room is fitted with an air conditioner, a flat screen TV and adequate wardrobe space.
Each villa has a mini-courtyard, where the garden-facing bedrooms open to. There is a swimming pool available in each villa. The pool terrace then transitions to a well-maintained grass lawn, before ending at the white, sandy beach. You can lie on the sun loungers set on the lawn, facing the blue ocean. Hearing the waves crashing and feeling the warmth of the sun and the passing sea breeze is sure to have you relaxed in no time.
The Indoor areas are designed to let in as much sunlight as possible, with its glass walls. In addition, guests will be able to see the beach from inside the villa. The dining area is made of smaller sets of chairs and tables, allowing guests to dine together without having their beach view obstructed. The living area consists of a set of comfy couches with a coffee table and a grand piano. You and the family or travel group can gather around and have a sing along while enjoying drinks from the kitchen.
A dedicated team of staff is available to assist you during your stay. Both villas have round the clock security for your peace of mind. Wifi is available throughout both villas. There will be off-street parking spots for your car. Daily breakfast is included in the rental price. The property also has a spa service that you can utilise.
There are many places to eat and shop around this property. If you plan to eat out, the closest establishments are: Spoon Restaurant & Juice Bar, The Pub - Kamburugamuwa and Zephyr Restaurant & Bar. Attractions around the villas are reachable by car or tuk-tuk. Some of them are: Coconut Tree Hill, Parrot Rock, and the Swiss Pool. If you go to Mirissa, there will be more places to visit such as Turtle Point, Mirissa Fisheries Harbour and Mirissa Whale Watching Club. Alternatively, you can drive over to Matara, where there will be even more beaches and restaurants to visit. It is one of the largest cities in the country.
