The stone-built walls within a rural countryside setting is just one part of many factors that makes Villa La Sorgente so beguiling to visitors; upon entering, guests will be transported to a meticulously restored home that is an epitome of splendor and sophistication. Straddled between olive groves in the hills between the medieval city of Lucca and the Versilia coast, this villa has been transformed and converted from what was formerly an olive mill and barn. The house has been refurbished with the best of Tuscan traditional materials that meet the exacting standards of a sumptuous countryside villa and features interiors that combine a tasteful mash of farmhouse furniture with modern design and comforts. Having 6 bedrooms to sleep up to 12 guests, Villa La Sorgente is also a charmer with its outdoors that come with a well-groomed garden, lovely terraces and all-round views of the countryside with tall trees and wild bushes.
There are 6 bedrooms that sleep 12 guests, all of which are spacious and bright and feature actual wood logs as the ceiling beams. On the ground floor of this 2-storey villa, is the twin bedroom that is equipped with an ensuite bathroom and opens out to the garden beyond. Upstairs on the 1st floor, guests will find the Master Bedroom that is designed with an ensuite bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe, 2 more twin bedrooms with their respective ensuite bathrooms, as well as the final 2 double bedrooms that are each attached with their own ensuite bathroom.
Nestled in a panoramic position meant that guests at this villa get to savour scenic views of olive groves and the dreamy hills located between the mediaeval cities of Lucca and the Versilia coast. Among the well-groomed gardens and lovely terraces, the various nooks and corners allow guests to bask under the sun and check out the countryside, as with the saltwater swimming pool of 12m X 6m for guests to have their daily swims or dips. With 2 alfresco dining spots for guests to choose from, one is covered while the other is open but both look out to the magnificent vistas.
The indoors are interconnected between what was formerly an olive mill and a barn, which have been meticulously restored into what is an entrance hall and the terrace area today. Exclusively traditional materials were used in the restoration, and the property has been embedded with effective insulation to help with hot summer days. Reflecting country-style interiors that are elegant and tasteful at the same time, guests will first enter the sitting room that is fitted with a fireplace and with French windows that open out to the terrace outside. A spacious open-plan kitchen area adjoining a dining space furnished with a wide dining table within a rustic, farmhouse setting brings alive the entire stay experience for guests.
Guests can connect to free WiFi Internet throughout their stay and have a washer and dryer at their disposal inside the large service room. Meanwhile, there is a 12-hour compulsory cleaning service per week that is already included as part of guests’ stay package.
