In the provenance of Tuscany, Italy, is a private collection of villas under the estate brand of Villa Saletta, which prides itself as offering secluded retreats for guests to indulge in the simple pleasures of life. Consisting of 3 villas, one of it is known as Villa Casolare, which has been repurposed from a former hunting lodge in the wooded hills of the estate. Overlooking the valley below, the 3-bedroom Villa Casolare is gorgeous for the almost Swiss-style design and facade that conjures the vibe of an intimate cottage as the perfect romantic escapade among the lushness of its green surroundings teeming with trees and the lawn. Featuring terracotta-tiled flooring laid in typical Etruscan patterns, painted window shutters and vaulted ceilings as among the unique ode to its past and the heritage of Tuscany, guests will find delight in the meticulously-renovated property using traditional techniques and local materials, besides the perfect harmony of classic and history with luxury and contemporary.
Built with 3 bedrooms that can accommodate 6 guests, the Master Suite dominates the top floor while the other 2 rooms can be found downstairs. All rooms are well-appointed with king-sized beds as well as ensuite bathrooms that come with their own shower areas, while the 1st bedroom is further designed with a bathtub that enhances the pampering session for guests.
One outdoor highlight of Villa Casolare is its large poolside terrace for guests to have their daily swims and dips, as well as a lovely stone terrace area for alfresco dining. Guests may be pleased to also find a charcoal BBQ equipment that can be used for outdoor cooking, entertainment and fun under the evening skies.
Inside this country house is where guests will be greeted by the large living hall that is fitted with lovely vintage furniture and furnishings with pretty floral motifs, making the space cosy and warm for guests. There is also a well-equipped contemporary kitchen area that has all the amenities required for great cook-outs or daily needs including the refrigerator, freezer, toaster, dishwasher, blender, microwave, oven, and coffee maker. Meals and teatime can be had at the dining room while there is also a laundry area with washing machine and dryer for guests to do their laundry when the need arises.
Guests can enjoy complimentary WiFi Internet connectivity available throughout, while entertainment is provided in the form of the satellite television and Bose music player. The housekeeping team performs 2 hours of housekeeping service daily from Mondays to Fridays, while heating and air-conditioning is supplied throughout their stay. Guests will also receive a complimentary bottle of Villa Saletta wine as part of a special in-house gift courtesy of the estate.
Guests at Villa Casolare have the opportunity to explore the entire 1,760-acre of Villa Saletta estate at their disposal. Start off by hiking the forest trails for those who love nature, or take a sampling of the vineyards, and for something fascinating, secret tartufi spots await. Beyond the estate’s boundaries, guests could drive out to explore some of the attractions of Tuscany such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, Lucca and Forte dei Marmi which are all a short distance away.
