Renovated at the end of 2017, guests will be pleased by what the owners have done to Villa Il Grappolo, a 5-bedroom villa for 9 guests located in Lucca. The owners also own several other properties under the Salogi portfolio, and have thus envisioned for Villa Il Grappolo to be not just comfortable for guests but also leaning towards a simple countryside theme with lots of off-white walls for the spacious vibe. While the indoors are equipped with all the modern amenities that would provide guests with a self-sustained stay throughout, the outdoors are backed by green highlands that make a postcard-perfect backdrop against the well-manicured lawns, dotted by trees and housing a private pool that directly faces the wide covered verandah.
The 5 bedrooms at this villa accommodates up to 9 guests in total. They are split between the ground and first floor. Guests will find the 1st twin bedroom and another single bedroom on the ground floor, and once they head upstairs, the Master Bedroom with its ensuite bathroom awaits, as with the last 2 bedrooms namely the double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom too. Rooms are bright and cheery thanks to the dash of colours, and further enhanced by the use of floral–themed bed sheets.
Outside, the enticing private pool of 13m X 7m that sits in the centre of a spacious and grassy lawn all around certainly calls for a dip or swim all day long! As sun deck chairs line one side of the pool, overlooking the other side of the pool just adjoining the house is a wide, covered verandah that is fitted with a dining table and chairs for alfresco dining, barbeque facility for some BBQ cooking, and a side lounge spot with additional table and chairs for guests to simply chill away with wine glasses and conversations.
Renovated at the end of 2017 by its owners, this villa is a classic example of the harmonious blend of traditional meets contemporary. Built with wooden ceiling beams and terracotta-tiled flooring, the interiors may seem minimalist but no less conducive and comfortable, fitted with couch sofas, flat-screen television and Bluetooth stereo in the living hall. Adjoining this hall is the dining space just behind, while the sleek and spick-and-span kichen has been equipped with all the modern amenities including a microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and boiler, among others.
As part of the stay package, the housekeeping team carries out cleaning services for about 6 hours per week. Air-conditioning is equipped for the entire house except for the single bedroom while guests can connect to complimentary WiFi Internet throughout their stay.
Guests who love the outdoors not only have the beautiful scenery to contend with, but also be able to work out at the small sports centre located a short walking distance away for a game of tennis. The villa is also located close enough to the city of Lucca that is just about 15km out, and its prime location in Colle di Compito meant that guests can easily reach the coast of Versilia or head to other towns of attraction including Pisa, Florence and San Gimignano.
