Wonderfully named as Teras Divya, which in Sanskrit means Heavenly or Extraordinary Terraces, this full-fledged resort certainly lives up to its high billing. With a surrounding landscape that is set amidst the lush tropical greenery and a stone’s throw away from Ubud, Bali, it is here in the authentic and tranquil village of Desa Kelusa that guests will find themselves lost in the paradise of Teras Divya, which reveals itself at the end of a quaint road lined by groves of tall coconut trees. Enter via the stepped terraces thriving with rice fields and guests will be awed by 6 gorgeous and sophisticated rooms within. Built with 6 bedrooms, they are all designed not only to coexist with nature but which will uplift guests spiritually with all the elements in place from comfort to style. Check out the first 2 rooms named as Eboni + Mahoni, each fitted with 1 king-sized bed and are each designed with a naturally-ventilated bathroom with a rainshower, large vanity and bathtub and views of the private gardens. There is a common terrace under a pergola that both rooms share. Proceed onwards to the next 2 rooms which are Baobab + Merbau, configured with 2 Hollywood twin single beds that can be put together as a double bed. It also comes with an adjoining bathroom space that features a rainshower and large vanity. Over at the Trembesi Suite, it consists of 1 king-sized bed and an integrated bathroom within the bedroom that comes with an extensive vanity, separate shower cubicle with rain shower and toilet cubicle. The awesome final room is Gaharu Master Suite, a private master suite designed with a beautiful 4 poster bed with commanding views over the entire property, a walk-in wardrobe and sitting room, and a bathroom integrated within the bedroom that looks out to the rice fields.
At Teras Divya, the outdoors are made up of common areas and facilities that are expansive, well thought-out and aligned to the resort’s theme.. First up is the lobby lounge which is designed in the concept of a wantilan with a traditional roof, with sofa daybeds strewn around for lazing and relaxation, a dining table for 4 to 6 pax, and open terrace seating for guests to savoursunset views. Not to be missed is the Joglo which can sit 20 pax and overlooks the infinity pool and pool terrace area. It serves as a central open-air traditional building and also doubles as the main dining area and a space for meetings and trainings. There is also the Gym + Spa Bale that integrates 3 spaces which are the gym, a built-in onsen Jacuzzi and a double massage room to cater to the full holistic wellness of guests. The ground is not complete without an infinity pool measuring 17 m X 4 m with saltwater and Javanese stone tiles, lined with sun loungers and pool umbrellas, a studio library, as well as a magnificent central green lawn that can be used to host wedding receptions, outdoor movie cinemas or literally any kind of workout sessions whether yoga or pilates.
If the outdoors are breathtaking, the indoors is no less so with tastefully-furnished and chic design of the individual bedrooms which has been ideated with their own unique element. For example at the Gaharu Master Suite, its private sitting room comes with a 55-inch television, comfortable sofa seating, writing desk and chair. To conjure further dimension and intricacy to the interiors, are traditional elements like floor tiles and wooden furnishings and furniture (shelves, wooden bed frames, sliding windows and doors) that all make up this authentic Balinese-themed resort.
