The villa features an exquisitely designed single bedroom. The low slung wooden queen-sized bed looks quite trendy!
The whole room has a subtle classy color tone. The long white curtains match the white walls & cozy mattress. The black & white print cushions blend in with the similar color painting on the bed-side wall. A hint of red is brought in by the rugs and flower painting. The wooden flooring, cupboard, and candles in the bedroom add a lovely warmth to the space. The indoor plants give the room a fresh appeal.
One corner of the room has a wooden cabinet with the wash-basin placed on it. On another side of the bedroom, a bathtub carved out of a single piece of marble is placed strategically over a spread of pebbles.
The wooden traditional door leads to a veranda with 2 Sri Lanka artifacts placed at the entrance. A beautiful tropical garden welcomes guests with the breeze of freshness craved by tourists. Mornings are the perfect time to step out in the garden and meditate in the soft green lawn under the sky. The outdoor seating arrangement has a romantic vibe with its stunning traditional umbrella shade. A wooden antique style round-shaped table with two wooden chairs is placed on the lawn to enjoy a delicious breakfast outdoors. You may also take a stroll to the sandy beach.
The living room has an L-shaped snug sofa complete with large & small sized cushions. The shades of white, cream, black, brown and red are continued in the living space. The huge abstract art right on top of the sofa enhances the chic effect of the living area. Couples can sit cozily on the sofa and enjoy their private time over a hot cup of coffee. It is the perfect spot to sit indoors and relax. The lamp right beside the sofa would please the reader’s soul to catch up on a favorite book during peaceful evenings.
Villa Nelum has an expert staff, trained and experienced at maintaining this vacation house impeccable. The gardener & house-keepers ensure that the indoors and outdoors are always spick and span. Villa Nelum is located at Weligama, a wonderful town in Sri Lanka. The south coast beach is just a few minutes’ walk from the villa. One of the most favorite destinations of surfers as the place has the best surfing beaches. For trips around the place, renting a car with a chauffeur is a good idea. The long drive with your partner is a different experience altogether. Galle Fort is a well-known tourist spot for its historical impact. You can also opt to visit Sri Lanka’s commercial town, Colombo, which is 2 hours drive from the villa.
