This large, modern, four-bedroom ski chalet has been designed and decorated making it perfect for a large family holiday and accommodates eight people with ease. Big Valley 2 is ideally located right next to the ski shuttle bus stop in Lower Hirafu, an area famous for its glorious powder and vibrant après ski. Boasting 252 square metres of floor space over three storeys, its four bedrooms and large open plan living and dining rooms are stylishly decorated. This luxury family villa also has a fully equipped modern kitchen, cosy gas fireplace and a large laundry and separate ski equipment drying room. Children are well catered for and will love the bedroom with bunk beds and its very own media room, complete with large screen TV. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the chalet. Big Valley 2 shares a complex with its sister chalets, Big Valley 1 and Big Valley 3.
Big Valley 2’s four bedrooms are split between the basement/lower and the first/upper storeys. In the basement level, you will find the bedroom one. With its bunk beds and adjoining media room, it is a kid’s dream, and with no other bedrooms or communal areas on that level, they will not disturb the rest of the household. The media room has a large TV and an oversized sofa.
The remaining bedrooms are on the chalet’s upper floor. Bedroom two has two single beds that easily join together to make a king-size bed. It has a wardrobe and its own en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Large windows offer views over the stunning Niseko countryside. Bedroom three has two single beds that join to make a king-size bed. It shares a bathroom with bedroom four which similarly has two single beds that can be pushed together to make a king-size bed.
The chalet makes full use of the stunning landscape with a large balcony accessed via the living room area. With its high-quality Weber BBQ, it makes for a perfect place for a party or gathering with the ski fields as a backdrop.
Entrance to the chalet is through the genkan, which leads to the ground floor. As well as a private garage and a stand-alone WC and powder room, this floor is home to the large family-friendly living room and dining room, as well as the fully equipped western kitchen.
The living room with its wooden floors, plush rugs, oversized settee, large flat-screen TV and stone surround gas fireplace manages to be both large and cosy. Another feature of the living area is its large windows that have the dual purpose of letting in natural light and allowing guests to look out onto the stunning panoramic views of the Hirafu Valley.
The large dining table easily seats eight, and the kitchen island offers more seating options. The kitchen is large, modern and well equipped, and includes a gas cooker top, an oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker and toaster.
Big Valley 2, which is decorated throughout with contemporary furnishings and original artworks, comes with an entertainment system that has free Wi-Fi. The basement floor has a drying room and a laundry room.
Guests have free use of a concierge service which is there to help them with everything from taxi and restaurant reservations to booking a babysitter. Local phone calls made from Big Valley 2 are free of charge. Guests with children have use of a sleeping cot (suitable for children up to the age of two), a high chair and a safety gate for an extra fee.
Hirafu is famous for its ski slopes and Big Valley 2 could not be better placed to take advantage of them. The free shuttle buses for both Grand Hirafu and Hanazono are located right outside the chalet. The hot spring is in close proximity - the ideal way to see how the locals unwind, and to get into the après ski spirit, Lower Hirafu offers guests a multitude of bars and restaurants within easy reach. Popular ones include Gyu+, Yo Kaiseki and The Baddies Niseko.
