There are three, brightly-lit and spacious bedrooms at Ginsetsu and two of these have futon beds on tatami mats so guests can experience another traditional Japanese practice. The bedrooms have wide windows that overlook the neighbouring areas and also ensure you can enjoy the sunlight during the day. Rest of the bedroom is serene and calming for a restful ambiance. Enjoy a good night’s rest on the plush beds and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. There is one ensuite bathroom and with a bathtub/shower, three separate toilets and a washing machine with integrated dryer. Amenities like toiletries, towels and hair dryers are provided for your ease.
The Niseko snow is becoming popular among travellers especially ski enthusiasts and winter fanatics. If you truly want to experience the best of this time in Niseko, hit the ski slopes since the ski lifts are only 7-minutes from Ginsetsu. The snow is powder soft which means only one thing – snowball fights! The kids are going to love playing with the pristine flurry and you can rest easy knowing that they are safe and having a ball. Head to a nearby café and enjoy a relaxed afternoon with a good book.
The indoors at Ginsetsu are a sight for sore eyes starting from the traditional wooden ceiling to the minimal décor and finally, the natural-wood finish on the warm floors. Large windows allow abundant sunlight that floods the room while the raised ceiling maximises the space with exposed beams and trusses. Japanese simplicity is reflected in each aspect of the living area that is open-plan and spacious. A lounge with pristine white sofas stands by the window facing a TV console with a 32-inch widescreen, DVD player and more. The ceiling is slanted, the walls are spotless white and you have ample room for movement.
A three-minute walk will take you to the free shuttle bus which will help traverse the many areas in and around Hirafu including Hanazono ski resort. The house is self-contained so you have everything you need including cleaning supplies and dishwashers. If you are renting a private car, then parking space is available for up to two cars at a time. Check-in/check-out is timely done at 3PM and 10AM, respectively. A late check-out may be possible at 12PM, subject to availability. For customised tours, cooking classes, yoga classes, etc. you can always ask the management.
Ginsetsu is conveniently located in the heart of Hirafu Village that give you access to everything including restaurants, bars, shops and ski lifts. If you want to buy some essentials, then the convenience store is only 5 minutes away. The free shuttle is perfect for when you want to explore Hirafu or a walk around the neighbourhood may just reveal some hidden gems.
