If you’re looking for a compact studio apartment to act as your base while you explore the ski trails and natural landscapes of Hirafu Village, then look no further than the Kozue Riverside Studio. Located in the luxurious Kozue Building, you’ll never want for comfort and convenience during your stay. The apartment itself features two plush beds and a living area with a widescreen Smart TV, as well as a well-equipped kitchenette. The building also provides several services and facilities such as housekeeping and concierge services so you can focus on having fun and making memories during your stay.
As a studio apartment, the bedroom at the Riverside Studio is part of the main living space. The bedroom is customisable to the needs of your group, featuring two twin beds that can alternatively be pushed together to create a double. The design of the room is contemporary and calming, realised in neutral and warm wood tones. The bedroom also boasts an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, from which you can enjoy stunning views and bathe in the natural light which streams into the room throughout the day. There is also a Japanese futon so additional sleeping space should you like to add another guest or host a friend overnight.
The Kozue building is set among picturesque, walkable streets, lined with trees and plants. As you stroll through the town, there is a real feeling of being close to nature due to intermittent forested areas and the stunning backdrop of snow capped mountains. If you’d like to spend some time out in the bracing Alpines air, the Hirafukogen Central Park is just a few blocks away.
The interiors at the Riverside Studio are cool, compact and contemporary, perfect for a relaxing retreat after a high-octane day on the slopes. The living area consists of two armchairs, arranged in front of a wide-screen Smart TV, on which you can enjoy Apple TV and satellite channels in English and Japanese. If you opt for a cosy night in rather than eating at one of the excellent restaurants in town, you can prepare dinner in your well-equipped kitchenette, featuring a stove, fridge, sink and tea and coffee makers.
The Riverside Studio is part of the Kozue building, a deluxe complex which offers its guests a range of services and facilities. While you focus on having fun on the slopes and enjoying the natural beauty of the Hokkaido, your apartment will be taken care of by the housekeeping team, who visit every two days, and the security team. When you return, you’ll be pleased to hear the the building has its own ski and boot storage, and that your apartment is serviced by a concierge and fitted with WiFi and under-floor heating.
Ski enthusiasts might already have heard of Hirafu Village. The town is known for its excellent winter sports facilities including 12 pistes and 13 lifts, as well as its reliable seasonal snowfall. If you don’t ski, there’s still plenty to do. The town has a lively drinking and dining scene and a local art gallery, as well as being an excellent gateway to explore Southern Hokkaido.
