Built in 2015, this incredibly stylish six-bedroom luxury chalet combines modern chic with real home comfort. Local traditional art and artefacts are the icings on the cake. Mukashi Mukashi has dual access, three floors and over 453 square metres of floor space and provides the perfect accommodation for up to 14 people – ideal for a large family holiday or get together with friends. Inside, heated floors, 70 inch TV, fully equipped modern kitchen and a private garage mean no detail has been overlooked, while outside, the chalet revels in its glorious surroundings that make this one of the most loved ski areas anywhere. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
Mukashi Mukashi has six bedrooms and an additional maid’s or helpers bedroom on the ground floor. The middle or first floor has a specially designed children’s room. It has two bunk beds which sleep up to four and has its own en suite bathroom. Its location on a separate floor from the other bedrooms means the children won’t disturb the other guests.
The other five bedrooms are all on the upper floor. Bedroom two has two single beds that can be made to form a king-size bed, and an en suite bathroom. Bedroom three has two single beds that can be joined together to make a king size bed, and has its own en suite bathroom. Bedrooms three and four both have two single beds that can be joined to form a king size bed, as well as their own en suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has two single beds that can be joined to make one king size bed. Its en suite bathroom has a large bath tub.
The chalet has a covered porch and walkway up to the main entrance. It has a balcony that leads off from the dining area , and makes for a spectacular place to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening drink surrounded by the stunning snowy landscape.
Mukashi Mukashi is dual access meaning that guests coming from the ski slopes don’t have to trail their wet clothing through the main part of the chalet. Instead, they enter via the entrance in the ground floor and can go straight to the large drying room. That also leads on to the laundry room, a powder room and WC, a storage area and the private garage.
The middle floor has another entrance, the main one, which leads guests from the porch into the marvelous living area. With a large gas fireplace on one side, and huge floor to ceiling windows offering incredible views of the Hirafu scenery on the other, it has to be seen and experienced to be believed.
The large dining and kitchen area seats 14 people with ease and is perfect for entertaining. The modern, fully equipped kitchen has everything you would expect a modern luxury chalet to have and also enjoys spectacular views.
The separate media room has a 70-inch flat-screen TV with access to Netflix, a music system and wireless streaming. Large sofas and bean bags really do make it a home from home. The chalet has high-speed internet throughout.
Guests have free use of the concierge service. No request is too much trouble or too small, and can be used for such things as booking a table in one of the many nearby restaurants or hiring a babysitter. Guests with children can hire a sleeping cot, high chair, and safety gate.
The chalet is located within very easy reach of the Grand Hirafu ski area while Rusutsu, Kiroro and Moiwa resorts are only a drive away. The area also has a world-class onsen. Hirafu village is well known for its vibrant après ski scene, and popular bars and restaurants include Bar Gyu+, Steak Rosso Rosso and Coto Bar.
