Puffin House

The two bedrooms at Puffin House can accommodate four guests however, a futon can be arranged for an additional fifth guest. The bedrooms are furnished with king beds that can be split into two singles as per your demands. With the beds facing spectacular views from the glass windows, you can wake up to a surreal landscape each morning.

There are TVs in the rooms with a long table that doubles as a work space for any last-minute work or writing a bestseller. Two bathrooms allow guests to get ready without a tussle in the morning. They are modern with state of the art technology so you can experience living in the lap of luxury.

The neighbouring hills laden with freshly-fallen snow, the sight of Mt Yotei looming in the distance and forests for as far as the eyes can see make for a picturesque panorama that surrounds Puffin House. Kids and adults alike will find something they like to do outdoors whether it’s to do with walks along the streets that lead to Hirafu or simply engaging in winter activities like skiing.

Designed with a contemporary expression, the interiors at Puffin House are dominated by authentic Japanese light-wood furniture and board-formed concrete walls for a rustic, yet sophisticated, look. With comfort and ease at its help, the house prides itself in offering well-fashioned lounge areas where you can relax on the sectional sofa in front of the Apple TV watching your favourite things. A large glass window lends a whimsy to the room with endless snow-capped views. The low-ceiling is fitted with hanging pendant lighting while the furniture is sourced from Italian furniture house, Cassina with fine craftsmanship and cutting-edge design.

Puffin House has heated stairs so you never have to feel the cold and enjoy the warmth instead. An ideal cosy space for four to five guests, the gracious living area also houses the fully-equipped kitchen. It features western fittings and amenities including a dishwasher, rice cooker, oven/microwave and most importantly, a coffee machine for your early morning fix. The kitchen is complete with a minimal breakfast bar with a simple wood-top and stools. Central heating allows you to rest easy throughout the day even when the temperature drops to freezing cold.

Puffin House allows you to do as you wish since it is self-serviced and equipped with modern comforts for your convenience. From free WIFI to on-demand English channels, the house is designed to serve your every need. There is a washer/ dryer to take care of your laundry and a car-port where you can park your rental.
