Situated at the heart of Hirafu Village, Sekka Sekka is a fantastic five-bedroom family chalet just four minutes walk from the ski lifts. Complement a high-octane outdoor holiday with the comforts and conveniences of luxury living, beautifully designed in a modern Japanese style. Each day begins in the comfort of a king-sized bed before you enjoy a delicious breakfast around the dining table or step out onto one of the many balconies to enjoy the morning breeze. After a day on the slopes, deposit your skis in your private equipment room, and settle down on the couch. Since all the minutiae of the day can be taken care of by the concierge or housekeeper, you’re most difficult decision of the evening will be whether to eat out in town or whip up a home-cooked meal in your fully-equipped, modern kitchen.
Each designed in a cool, contemporary style with neutral wood-wood-tones and natural materials, the five bedrooms at Sekka Sekka perfect complement an outdoor getaway on the slopes. No matter which room you call home, you’ll sleep on a luxurious king-sized bed, topped with excellent quality linens and pillows, and have access to an ensuite bathroom. If you stay in the master suite, your room will also come with a wide-screen Smart TV on which you can enjoy programming in either English or Japanese. Some of the other rooms also feature a writing desk or access to the balcony. Though the five bedrooms can sleep up to 10 guests, there’s also an additional futon room on the ground floor which can accommodate two more travellers.
Arranged over four floors, Sekka Sekka has a number of balconies at different levels, from which you can enjoy stunning views of the town and Mount Yotei. Perfect for when you need a moment of privacy in the crisp country air, step out onto any of the balconies for an experience of the great outdoors.
Sekka Sekka is an extensive property with four floors, a basement and covered parking. Throughout the entire house, you’ll be treated to a masterclass in contemporary Japanese design, rendered in neutral wood tones, stone floors and floor-to-ceiling windows. The main room is a luxurious open-plan kitchen/living room, centred around a dramatic leather couch. There is also a secondary living area in a less central area of the house, perfect for casual socialising or planning the day ahead. If you choose not to eat out at one of the several restaurants within walking distance, you can try your hand at preparing delicious Japanese dishes in your own fully-equipped kitchen, to be served around the 12-seater dining table.
During your stay at Sekka Sekka, you’ll have access to a number of services and facilities to ensure that your holiday is relaxing, memorable and fun. You’ll be looked after by a dedicated concierge, as well as a housekeeping team who will provide cleaning services every other day. Winter sports enthusiasts will also be happy to hear that your building has its very own ski locker, so you’ll have somewhere safe and secure to keep your experience.
Sekka Sekka is located at the heart of Hirafu Village, a town known for its excellent ski trails and consistent seasonal snowfall. The house is within easy walking distance of the ski lifts and ski rental shop, so you won’t have to carry your equipment all the way across town every morning and evening. Elsewhere in town, you’ll find a lively bar and restaurant scene, as well as an art gallery displaying works by local artists.
