Shirayuki

There are three king bedrooms in this luxury chalet, two on the ground or lower floor, and one on the upper storey. Starting with the master bedroom on the first floor, it houses two single beds that can be joined together to form one king-size bed. There is a large wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and has its own en suite bathroom. There are no other rooms on this floor, so guests enjoy unrivaled privacy, while the windows overlook the stunning snow-swept countryside that Hirafu is famous for.
The other two bedrooms are on the ground floor and are situated next to each other at the back of the house, away from the communal living and dining areas. Bedroom one has two single beds that can be pushed together to form a king-size bed. It shares a bathroom with bedroom two, which also has two single beds that can be joined to make a king-size one. There is also a separate toilet next to the bedroom one. A children’s cot can be hired.

Shirayuki has off street parking in the yard at the front of the villa, and the area around the chalet extends unbroken to the ski slopes in the near distance, making for a wonderful vista. There is a small open porchway leading to the genkan.

You enter this striking chalet through the large genkan, or entrance/porch room, which doubles as a secure drying room to keep your ski gear in. From there you reach the fantastically equipped and decorated open plan living area. Its wooden flooring and ceilings give it a cosy Alpine look and feel, a quality that is enhanced by the large leather sofas and gas fire. The lounge boasts its own state of the art entertainment area with a large plasma TV and a well-stocked library of books to suit all tastes.

The dining area has a stylish dining table that sits six, where guests can enjoy the views from the large windows that offer views across the countryside. For guests with children, a high chair and safety gate are both available for rent. The well-equipped kitchen has further seating for two at the island bench and has a large “L” shaped worktop. Appliance-wise, it has a western oven and gas stovetop, a dishwasher, microwave oven and sink. On the same floor, there is a laundry room, a bathroom, and a separate WC.

In order to make your holiday as stress-free as possible, the staff at the chalet are on hand to provide a variety of complimentary services for you, your family and friends. These include: snow clearing; house maintenance; security; 24-hour emergency English/Japanese speaking contact; daily garbage pick up.
There is also a concierge service which will help you book services such as restaurant reservations or a babysitter. Guests at Shirayuki also have the option of stocking up their fridge and food store before their holiday, so the chalet has everything they need on arrival.
