Featuring pioneering architecture that is modern and spacious, Yanagi House is found on the edge of Hirafu surrounded by vast open forests for as far as the eyes can see. If you are travelling with family, then Yanagi is the ideal home as there is ample space indoors and outdoors for the kids to play around without being in anybody’s way.
With four bedrooms, living areas and lounge, kitchen and dining area the Yanagi has everything you could possibly need. Niseko is a great place for a holiday as it is peaceful as well as busy with holidaymakers making their way to the snow-capped slopes for skiing.
Yanagi House has four bedrooms that are furnished with king-sized beds and single beds so kids can each have their own sleeping space. There are glass windows and doors with views spanning across the neighbouring forests so you can laze on your bed to take in this serene ambiance. The three bathrooms are fitted with modern facilities and fittings including walk-in shower stalls, bathtubs with windows revealing the forest and hand-held showers. The bigger rooms even have lounge chaises for a cosy, reading nook.
As you step outside the spatial and simplistic structure of Yanagi, you will be greeted by an expanse of forest land that is heavy with snow during the winter months but resplendent with warm hues in the summer. This utterly ravishing view lends an allure to this side of Niseko where you can enjoy the comforts of your modern villa all the while being close to nature. Snowball fights, snow-angels and a festive cheer especially during Christmas make this area the perfect getaway from busy city streets.
Featuring some traditional Japanese architectural elements wrapped in a modern home, Yanagi offers you the best of both worlds. There are natural wood doors and floors where you have plush seating in the living area. Large glass doors in metal frames overlook the vast expanse of forests with a veranda wrapped around the house. The living area is entirely glass from one side that is open to the forests so you can relax on the leather sectional and enjoy the warmth from the gas fireplace even while enjoying the view. The villa is graciously designed for maximum utilisation of space.
You have access to a lounge area on the top floor and modern comforts like English view-on-demand TV and free wifi. The dining area comprises a long table in the main living area to accommodate all guests of the villa at one time. Enjoy delicious food prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen along with your loved ones. The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances and conveniences to make it easier for you to whip up a meal. There is a breakfast bar with ample seating, a nice spot for quick bites, breakfast and morning coffee.
There are plenty of services and amenities available to guests of Yanagi House including airport transfers and ski passes upon request. The management can even prepare a welcome breakfast for guests, if you desire. If you’re traveling by your own car, the house even has its own indoor garage.
Niseko is a thriving area in Hokkaido which is known for its snow-capped peaks including that of Mt. Yotei, said to be a miniature of Mt. Fuji. When it snows, the slopes are completely submerged and the winter sports begin. You can ski, snowboard and you can even enrol in ski school to learn the basics. There are many restaurants in the area that have been awarded Michelin-star ratings like Kamimura. Other local restaurants serve delicious Japanese food that is manna in the cold weather.
