With pristine beaches, majestic mountains and waterfalls, it’s not strange that Mauritius charms travellers around the globe. The pandemic puts a damper on our holiday plan, but rejoice, the island is now open to tourism! Mauritius travel requirements differ for vaccinated and un-vaccinated guests. Check them out below!
Mauritius travel requirements for fully-vaccinated travellers
- You are free to stay in villas, hotels or other types of accommodation.
- You will need to provide a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure.
- On Day 0 (when you arrive in Mauritius), do an antigen test at the airport or at the hotel (if you stay in a hotel). If the result is negative, you can explore the island.
- You will need to do another test on Day 5.
- Covid-19 insurance is required, unless you are a Mauritian citizen or a resident/occupational permit holder.
- Fill in the All in One travel form and submit it to immigration and health officials upon arrival.

For un-vaccinated travellers
- A negative PCR test done within 72 hours before departure.
- A 14-night quarantine at an approved hotel, including meals and transfers.
- Covid-19 insurance coverage (not required for Mauritian citizens, residents and occupational permit holders).
- PCT test on Day 0, Day 7 and 14 of your stay at your own expense. If the result on day 14 is negative, you can travel around the island and stay at your accommodation of choice.
- Fill in the All in One travel form and submit it to immigration and health officials upon arrival.
These requirements are in effect from Oct 01, 2021.
